NATO (North Atlantic Treaty organization) And the Warsaw pact's were formed in retaliation, and to maintain Capitalism and to prevent communism! To retaliate against communist Russia, because we(NATO) thought of Communism as illogical. Warsaw was a retaliation to America's and Poland And whoever's in NATO. Warsaw is like a Soviet Union version of NATO, to spread communism unlike the U.S NATO! The united states president at the time Truman, decided to form this pact after the arms race!
